| Field notes | Tree. Maasai name: orkinyei Decoction of c. 80 x 1 cm diameter root is drunk to provoke diarrhae, when you feel that your stomach is full. It has a red colour and a bitter taste, which one particularly feel as contraction in the throat, while drinking it. The root can be used as toothbrush, if it is used with the bark it colours the lips orange. |
