| Field notes | Dwarf shrub. Maasai name: orporokwai ekop (big), emborokwai ekop (small) Decoction of root is very red and used to mix with meat soup in meatcamps. It prevent diarrhea, when starting to eat meat. It is sweeter than "alchani langashe", but not as good. It is also used to mix with milk to make it go further. |
