| Field notes | Maasai name: embokui Grows in the lowland called "orpurkel". It is eaten by cattle the whole year, as its long offshoots stay green for a long period. It contains minerals, and cattle don't need additional minerals, as they do when grassed in highland. The long offshoots are chewed by herd boys. |
