Field notes Maasai name: oloibor kipa (oloibor ~ white, kipa ~ foetal ?? water). Common in the lowland, called "orpurkel". It is eaten from July to December, before flowering and after spreading seeds, as awns enter in skin in the mouth. It is delicate and easy for the cattle to grass. It is considered to be "hot", as it stimulates the bulls sexual activity.
