| Field notes | Tree. Maasai name: ormelelek The wood is red and used by warriors for their workingstick, called "emelelek" and for handle of spear. Poles used for construction of huts and for fence around the boma. They last very long and can even be used by next generation. The branches are delicate and useless for thornfence. Wood good as firewood. Decoction of dry bark can be used to mix with meatsoup, but is not used in meatcamp. |
