| Field notes | Shrub. Maasai name: alchani lenkashe (olchani ~ tree/medicin, lenkashe ~ of the heifer) Pieces of wood with innerbark is used to mix with meatsoup. One of the highest estimated for use in meatcamps. It is good to disolve fat and stimulate digestion and prevent diarrhoea. Decoction of woodpieces with bark are also drunk as tea. |
