| Field notes | Roset plant, about 30 cm high. Vernacular spanish name: sabila, quichua name: chabela (spelling of the quichua name is doubtful). Use: medicine for "aire" (spanish term): a decoction of the roots and alcohol made of sugar is used exterior. For skin disease on the neck: a dressing is made of the roasted leaves and sugar cane alcohol. |
