Maasai name: engaitarakwai Eaten by cows, particularly used during the rain season as it contains a lot of salt both the cattle, which is coming from the highland to get it, and of the cattle, which stay there the whole year, as during the rainseason drink water from small pools without salt, while they in the dry season drink water from rivers.
