| Field notes | Parasite growing under Acacia xantophloea. Maasai name: erukunyi Pseudo-rhizome eaten by children, the unripe is roasted in the fire before eaten. The buds is eaten with milk by herd boys, who use the flowerbuds as small cup to milk the cows in during the daytime, which is strictly prohibited. |
