| Field notes | Shrub, flowers yellow-green, anthers red. Maasai name: engaiturrudiai Thorns are used by warriors and young girls to make decorative marks in their skin. William ole Seki: Used by "oloiboni" to make "oloing'oni". Decoction of root (best) or steem is used to mix with soup. Used for construction of fence around boma. John Keretu: It is used for "oloing'oni", for bewitching. Root can only be digged in the eveningtime by a person missing an eye or a leg. Preparation is a secret. |
