Field notes Herb. Maasai name: oleturot Decoction of plant is used for Turkish bath for a disease called "esonchoi", recognized by weakness, pale palms of hands a sign of insufficient blood.The plant is boild in a ceramic pot and a glowing white is put in the hot decoction to stream. The sick person covered with a carpet is placed above the pot. Treatment is always made in the evening. The water is thrown out by another person, (William ole Seki: the sick person kick the pot with his left leg), and the pot is placed beside the cattlegate until next morning. John Keretu: Shiny malnourished are washed with a decoction of the plant.
