| Field notes | Tree, bark pealing showing a yellow-green stem. Maasai name: olerai oibor (oibor ~ white, only used when one wants to distinguish it from Acacia coll. 646) Used for fence around the boma. Inner bark is chewed by everybody. The thin roots are used as brush to clean calabashes. This kind of "olerai" is not used for rope. John Keretu: Decoction of bark drunk to prevent and cure diarrhea and to induce vomiting. |
