| Field notes | Herb, flowers green. Maasai name: oleturot (ilturot ~ dam). Used for "esonchoi", when people get thin, their blood become cold, which can be felt on their skin, and their amount of blod decrease, so their hands get white. Children are washed in a decoction of the plant, while grown-up are treated with steam by placing them on a chair above a pot with the hot decoction and covered them with a blancket. |
