| Field notes | Shrub. Maasai name: oloisuki The best species for hooks to hang up beehives, as it doen't break easily. Decoction of fruit, root and bark is mixed with milk and drunk for "oloirobi", can be drunk by everybody, but mostly used by children. Never used by Lepilal ole Nakuroi. Koto kunyinya Nailole (called Ngilole), traditional midwife, Olmekeke: Used for children with "oloirobi" and coughing, 2-3 smashed fruits are boiled in one cup of water for a few minutes and 2-3 spoons of milk is added to reduce bitternes. |
