| Field notes | Tree. Maasai name: orkinyei One cup of the dark red extraction of the root is drunk to provoke diarrhoea. 5 roots 20 cm long and 2 cm thick is extracted half an hour in 3 litre of water. It function after c. 1/2 hour, as quick as "oremit" and continue for c. 4 hours until one eats some food, all kind of food can be eaten It is not as good as "oremit", which is stronger. Leaves are used to place meat on slaughter. |
