Locality Ngorongoro Conservation Area, 2 km south of Endulen village, along Emborrkwai river in riverine forest. Information given by Mepalari Mushumbay, from Arusha Mwarusha-tribe, 40 years, has lived in Endulen 20 years, is owner of many beehives.

Field notes 25-30 m high tree, fruits red. Maasai name: arng'aboli The best kind of wood for construction of beehives, due to hardness, lightness easiness to make and long life, one known to be used for 14 years and is still in a good condition. Fruits eaten by children. ole Nakuroi, Ndeyan: The inner bark is used for "entasimi" for pregnant women with pain, it is mixed with any kind af food except meat. Meshuko ole Mapi, oloiboni, mkidong'i-clan, living in Buti close to Makuyuni Bark on root and inner bark is used for "entasimi" to treat women, who can't get pregnant. Strings of leather or "olduvai" is tied around their wrists and ankles and the women is tied to a tree with those strings. The "oloiboni" cuts the strings and the women bathe with a decoction of "armandaitet" (Loranthaceae) mixed with "entasimi" of this plant, the purpose is to clean before further treatment, which follow the advises obtained from the "enekidong'". "Ormogongora" and "osinandey" are often used in the further treatment.
