Locality Ngorongoro Conservation Area, 2 km south of Endulen village, along Emborrkwai river in riverine forest. Information given by Mepalari Mushumbay, from Arusha Mwarusha-tribe, 40 years, has lived in Endulen 20 years, is owner of many beehives.

Field notes Tree, flowers green. Maasai name: ormisigiyoi Fruits are eaten by everyone. Wood used to roast meat on in accordance to advice given by "oloiboni" as a kind of "entasimi". The ox slaughtered before any man can circumcise his first child called "olkiteng' lo orba", which means ox of the arrows is always prepared in this way. Used to protect against foot and mouth and disease by cattle, called "oloirobi". Two hooks are hooked in each other on the ground across the cattlegate, while the cattle is inside, so they have to pass it. Meshuko ole Mapi, oloiboni, mkidong'i-clan, living in Buti close to Makuyuni Decoction of leaves mixed with "entasimi nyanorri" (green "entasimi" made of "orkokola") is used for Turkish bath for children with "oloirobi". Olootaosirwa ole Mako, oloiboni living in Piaya: No use for "entasimi". Used to cover places where animals are slaughtered for celebration. It is a cold tree and therefore good for peaceful celebrations.
