Field notes Low shrub, dominating species just above riverbed, flowers lilac. Maasai name: olonini Used by "oloiboni" together with "entasimi" to increase the number of cattle. It is placed in the middle of the cattlegate. People from Laiza- and Lukumaiclan used it in the circumcision ceremony. It is placed in middle of the cattlegate on the day of circumcision of a boy or girl. Saningo ole Nakuroi: Is a small plant, bu strong as it can protect itself without thorns. It is used to mix with milk and honey beer in a small calabash to secure celebrations without quarrels. Meshuko ole Mapi, oloiboni, mkidong'i-clan, living in Buti close to Makuyuni Not sure on local name, but know it is used to planted in a whole with honey beer and "entasimi" of "anaisongoyon" in the centre of the gate during circumcision. It calm people down and secure a cold feast as it is a cold plant. Olootasosirwa ole Mako, oloiboni living in Piaya: Not recognised by looking on dried material, but by local name. It is placed in the huts opening at circumcision to protect against people with bad intention.
