| Field notes | Tree, fruits black, smells like Sambucus nigra. Maasai name: armasei Its white wood is easy to make straight, doesn't break easily and is therefor used for handle on spears with a long handle and for bows. "Alawou" is higher estimated for making the long handles of spear, while "ormelelek" and "endiaska" (not available in Ngorongoro Conservation Area), which are darkred and dark are used for spears with short handle. |
