| Field notes | Herb, flowers white Maasai name: endakuleti In accordance to advises of "oloiboni" a decoction of the root is mixed with "entasimi" and milk and given to women, who have miscarried to prevent further miscarries. Meshuko ole Mapi, oloiboni, mkidong'i-clan, living in Buti close to Makuyuni Grained fruits are used for "entasimi" to treat women, who can't get pregnant. Strings of leather or "olduvai" is tied around their wrists and ankles and the women is tied to a tree with those strings. The "oloiboni" cuts the strings and the women bathe with a decoction of "armandaitet" (Loranthaceae) mixed with "entasimi" of this plant, the purpose is to clean before further treatment, which follow the advises obtained from the "enkidong'". "Ormogongora" and "osinandey" are often used in the further treatment. |
