| Field notes | Low shrub, flowers red. Maasai name: orkuríshashi. Decoction of roots of 8-10 plants is boiled 20 minutes and mixed with a drop of milk to change the colour and drunk for "bone-gonorrhea". It can also be boiled for 2 hours together with sheep's hooves and head broken in two parts to remove brain and hair burned. It really makes a strong soup and thereby support the medicine for "bone-gonorrhea". The medicine is not red, nor bitter. |
