| Field notes | Tree, flowers white. Maasai name: eluai Bark used by women after given birth for soup and light porridge to clean the vomb. Concontration of the decoction is regulated by boiling time and recognized by colour and taste. Stirring of the decoction ad to it strongness. Amount prepared depend on number of people as medwifes also drink the decoction mixedwith meat soup. Used for cows after delivery to clean their vomb, one pies as a lower arm is used for c. 5 litre. Tree might be used for thornfence around boma, but doesen't last long. |
