| Field notes | Terrestrial in big dense tufts, max. 1.5 m tall. Flowers and bracts lilac-purple. Sepals white in young flowers. Growing halfshaded, sometimes as an epiphyte. Flowers scentless. The jelly like substance is only found in the lowermost part of the mature inflorescence. |
