Field notes Small tree, 1-4 m high. Bark purplish grey, smooth. Twigs scaly; cut bark with slight creamy sap. Leaves narrowly elliptic-oblong to obovate, 4-14 x 1.5-5.5 cm; rounded to acute at the apex; cuneate to sometimes unequal at the base; margin revolute; glossy dark green above, pale green below; glabrous on both sides; thickly leathery. Corolla salverform, white, without purple speckles inside, corolla lobes 5, rounded or obtuse at the apex. Fruit subglobose to globose 2.3-3 x 2-3 cm, glabrouse
