| Field notes | Terrestrial herb 2-3 m. Rhizome short to median-creeping (10-20 cm between shoots) Stilt roots lifting the rhizome 10-20 cm above ground. 10 leaves per shoot, leaf pale green,. Inflorescence from rhizome, peduncles to 1 m. Sterile bracts green with cream-yellow hairs . Flowers pink, red and white, bracteole pink with hairs, corolla lobe red with hairs. Dorsal lobe red and lateral lobe white. |
