Field notes Cultivated tree, but said to be common along the river. Wood said to have oils ("eucalipto del Oriente"). Used for firewood and house construction. Bark green, flaking like thick paper. Sterile collection. Local name "Capirona". Ethnobotanical information by Victor Rivadeneira.
