| Field notes | Big tree with light red, smooth bark. Deeply fluted at base. One fruit from ground. Common tree at the river. Latex conserved with "trago" (alcohol) used locally as a remedy, en particular for intestinal parasites as "lumbís" and "amoebas". Local name "Higuerón".
