| Field notes | Tree 35 m X 90 cm. Buttresses 3 m high, 2 m long. Bark red-brown, rather smooth. Young shoots and pedicels rusty brown. Leaves yellowish underneath. Fruit with up to 40 seeds. Close to KTH plot. Local name "Machin manga" ("Olla del mono machin"). Ethnobotanical information by Victor Rivadeneira. |
