| Field notes | Climbing palm, 8 m high. Leaves with c. 19 pairs of leaflets. Leaves 1-1.3 m long, without a cirrus, climbing shoots c. 4 m long, forming a cirrus, some developing into an inflorescence. Leaflets firm papery, upper side fairly glossy, dark to medium green, lower side glossy, dark to medium green. Inflorescence 4.6 m long, pendulous, inflorescences with 5 double-compound racemes Lateral branches purple-brown. Fruits green, edges of scales red. |
