| Field notes | Climbing palm, 13 mhigh, diameter 36 mm. Leaves with c. 51 pairs of leaflets, cirrus with 14 pairs of hooks. Petiole 15 cm long. Part of rachis with leaflets 220 cm long, cirrus 190 cm long. Leaves closer to infructescence shorter: petiole 6 cm, leafpart 90 cm, cirrus 175 cm, with 54 pairs of leaflets and 14 pairs of hooks. Leaves just under infructescence even shorter. Infructescence 110 cm long, with 12 lateral branches. Fruits oblong, 20 x 18 x 14 mm, red. Seeds creamy white 14 x 12 x 9 mm, surrounded by orange pulp with a bitter and burning taste |
