| Field notes | Herb, 2.2 m high. Leaves papery, upper side shiny, dark green, lower side dull, very pale green one of the margins with a c. 1½ cm broad purplish band. Bracts pale green. Sepals (3) pale purple, darker along the margins. Petals white. Staminodes whitish at base, getting yellow towards the top and the broadened margins. |
