| Field notes | Palm, 12 m high. DBH c. 60 cm. Petioles up to c. 1.2 m long with spinnes along the margin. Basal part of the leaf fanshaped, but leafrachis continuing, making the more apical leaflets pinnate placed. Leaflets very firm leaflets very firm leathery, dull, greyish green ith a light yellow-green primary nerve. Fruits brown to orange-brown. Mesocarp yellow, endosperm white. Also some fruits collected from the floor, these apparently nibbled off by small rodents |
