| Field notes | Terrestial herb. 1.5-1.7 m. Base brownish, stil root, leaf sheath green. Inflorescence arising from the ground rhizome, peduncle bracts blackish to dark brownish with white waxy; fertile bracts dark purple with white waxy, pale white to margin; flower red, corolla tube pale white, corolla lobes dark red, labellum white, stamen and stigma white. (+ spirit SAN). |
