| Field notes | Terrestial herb. 1.5 m. Base green, leaf sheaths green, ligule green, leaves light grteen and in live plants they arranged perfectly in two rows. Inflorescence arising from the above ground rhizome near to the base of the leafy shoot, peduncle bracts green; sterile bracts green, fertile bracts pale and slightly transparent; bracteoles pale and of also slightly transparent with very mild red apexes; calyx red, petals red; labellum red, elongated to c. 2-2.5 cm, margin curled inward and frilled; anther hinged, pale red, stigma red. Fruits not seen. |
