| Field notes | Terrestial herb. 1.2 m. Base red; leaf sheaths green yellowish with small reddish dot, ligule green; sessile or slightly petiolate, petiole green, upper leaves green with light green underneath. Inflorescence arising from the ground rhizome at the base of the leafy shoot; peduncle bracts pale brown, sterile bracts brown with very mild red margin, fertile bracts pale red, bracteole pale pink-reddish, calyx very light red, petals yellow; loabellum yellow, rounded; anther yellow, stigma light yellow. Fruits not seen. |
