| Field notes | Rhizome creeping in soli, segmented, brown outside, yellow and aromatic inside; basal stem sheaths mostly dark maroon to greenish; peduncle and bracts light green; bracteoles, calyx pale light green; corolla tube and lobes, anther locules white; staminodes and lip whitish outside, inside and anyher crest lilac-violet, claw of lip white; blades dark green above, light green underneath. |
