Erect, branching herb up to 1 m tall; younger stems, petioles, inflorescence/infructescence axes, calyx green; older stems tan; petals orange, base inside with maroon venation and claw, base of staminal column maroon; free filaments whitish, anthers light yellow; fruits light green, turning brown; blades dark green above, light green underneath. Naturalized, native to the Mediterranean region. |
