| Field notes | Branching herb to 1.5 m tall, lower nodes rooting; stems dull dark green; bracts and calyx dark maroon. Corolla tube: narrow base whitish otherwise and libes blue, tube with a pale light yellow-greenish dorsal ridge; anthers cream, filaments white; blades dark green above, light green underneath. |
