| Field notes | Rhizomes and peduncles cream-whitish, bracts brown and desintegrating; calyx pinkish-whitish, corolla white, tip of lobes with a faint pinkish hue. Leafy stems 1-1.5 m tall, green, lower part maroonish; leaves 20-24 lowest ones reduced, blades dark green above, green underneath; fruits globose, 15-20 mm diameter, deep maroon outside, whitish inside. |
