| Field notes | Stems climped, 2-4 m tall with 14-20 leaves in the upper 2/3 only; lowest 2-3 leaves gradually reduced; open areas in the evergreen forest; bracts, calyx, corolla, staminoides lobes and stamen white; lip white with yellowish palate ridges, and a red streak on the side of each ridge near the base; base of staminoides and base stamen red. |
