| Field notes | Open and shaded areas in the evergreen forest and tickets. Pseudostems up to 3 m tall, diameter 12 cm, green; petiole 50 cm, blade up to 1 m, tip irregularly cut and ripped, width up to 30 cm, very dark green above, green below; inflor. Pendulous, staminate and carpellate tepals whitish with light yellow lobes. Bracts deep maroon, thick, fruit green. |
