| Field notes | Treelet, 4 m high. Dbh = 15 cm. Several stems with a cephalium on both sides. In bud. Flowers (a single flw. opened later on a cut stem) 4.5 cm long, 3.7 mm wide. Tube gradually tapering towards base, green, reddish midway, covered with white hairs. Sepaloids c. 15, white with green mid-nerve, more or less reflexed. Petaloids c. 15, essentially white, to 16 mm long, 7-9 mm wide, rounded or emarginate. Style white, 27 mm long. Stigmas green. Anthers cream. Liquid material available at AAU. |
