| Field notes | Tree, 8 m high. Stem-joints cylindrical, 30-80 cm long, 8-12 cm wide, dark green with grey tinge. Ribs 4-5(-9 on individual joints); margin sometimes callose. Areoles 2-5 cm apart. Spines inconspicuous, stronger ones on trunk occasionally present and then to 3 cm long. Fruiting now. FAA availiable at AAU. |
