| Field notes | Shrub, 2.5 m tall. Trunk distinct, 19 cm wide. Buds numerous (1 cm long), red. Fruits 1-4 cm wide, turning yellow-green at maturity. Fruits evidently eaten by birds. Flowers of this collection gathered a few weeks later on collected stems. Three unusual large plants on a single hill. Collection based on the largest individual. Used as a medicinal plant (purgative) according to a peasant farmer. Liquid material available at AAU. |
