| Field notes | "Bush, 0.6-1.5 m high, the braches ascending from base; trunk not evident. Flowers 4-4.5 cm long and 3 cm wide at anthesis, opening at 7 pm. Floral tube green-white with a weakly tinge of rosa beyond the pericarpel. Bracts and sepaloids greenish brown. Petaloids pure white. Stigmas pale green. Anthers cream. Fruit broadly obclavate, 1.5-2.5 cm long, 1.5-2.5 cm wide, white in lower half, green distally, or green-brown when fairly dry, crowned by the floral remnants; pulp white. Even ripe fruits barely visible in the cephalium. In full bloom. Most plants with one or several flowers per night. Liquid material available at AAU." |
