| Field notes | "Arborescent, 4-8 m tall, commonly with 5-20 suberect jointed branches. Joints mostly 40-70 cm long, grey-green. Ribs usually 5. Flowers white, rotate, opening at 7 pm. Fruits immature. Abundant in the valley near the river. Vernacular name (at Playas): cardo. Liquid collection available at AAU." |
