| Field notes | Columnar, ascending. Stems 3-5 cm thick. Flowers single or a few. Flower 7-8 cm long, orange or red. Receptacle covered with greenish to coloured bracteoles, white hairy in their axils. Tepals of one colour. Style whitish. Stigma-lobes about 9, green to yellowish. Filament reddish or orange obove, white below. Anther flesh coloured. Nectar-chamber pale. |
