| Field notes | Bush. Leaves green with reddish tips. New spines reddish basically. Flower yellowish orange, reddish when withering, covered with areoles, glochids, bristles. Outer tepals darker and more reddish toward midrib and tip. Inner tepals nearly of one colour, yellow or orange. Style pale to reddish. Stigma-lobes green. Filament whitish or reddish. Anther flesh-coloured. |
