| Field notes | Ascending un steep clifs. Stems to 150 cm long, 3-5 cm thick, dark green. Ribs about 15, with a V-furrow over the areoles. Areoles light brownish, turning greyish white. New spines brownish, pale at basis, getting greyish. Spines spreading in all directions. |
