| Field notes | Bush, much branched, 0.5 m high. Areole greyish. Spines yellowish white with brownish tips. Spines spreading in all directions, but not widely spreading. Flower red. Tepals foreward pointed. Fruit shortly oblong, spiny, green, later naked without chlorophyll. |
